Turner & Townsend is looking for an Senior MEP Project Manager to work with our team alongside a key technology client and manage construction projects for the larger client portfolio initiative. The role will be responsible for managing the project from startup to completion including but not limited to; design phase, construction phase, commissioning and close out. The ideal candidate will be resilient, a self-starter, and able to take the initiative and drive activities with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will also have an engineering or construction background with strong mechanical and MEP knowledge and experience.   Job Description:  Minimum 8 years’ experience managing projects as an Owner’s Rep., General Contractor or Architect/Engineer Technical capabilities would mainly center around an ability to forecast methods of procedures to complete construction projects by dissecting projects and individual scopes of work necessary to complete the project to meet client expectations. Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages. Financial management – Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilizing the financial system in order to monitor a project’s financial status and manage individual project budgets Project planning, including producing detailed project plans. Must be personable and display a go-getter attitude with an inherent ability to work independently with urgency while managing multiple small projects at a time. Day-to-day activities include assisting the project team with minor projects within the client portfolio. Monitoring and applying performance management techniques. Managing the change control process. Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications. Preparing formal project budget progress and other reports. Quality Control – Ensuring compliance with quality standards. Assisting in research related to construction market conditions throughout the Austin area. Working to construct proposals for new work or variations for existing projects. Identifying opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products. Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared. Process improvement – Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes referring ideas to the appropriate line manager. Identifying ways in which project management products and services can be improved and referring ideas to the appropriate line manager. Identifying and ensuring that the client and management are aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues. Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project. Oversee the commissioning process and chair daily Cx meetings during construction. Support field coordination between the General Contractor, Commissioning Agent, and Client.
