Description In support of our specialized manufacturing client, Robert Half Talent Solutions is looking for an experienced COBOL Developer to join their team on a long-term contract to full-time basis. We are looking for someone who takes initiative and can work independently as well as on a team. This person will be expected to be able to enhance and maintain current systems and applications. They should also be strong in troubleshooting and documentation. We are seeking someone who is looking for this to be their career move for the long term.Requirements o 2+ years working with COBOL – preferably recent experience, but we all know COBOL is not a new language. o 4+ years working as a programmer o Able to pull data, create and update tables in database o Experience designing, developing and maintaining mainframe components to meet support or project departments and interface with business and IT teams. o Understand business requirements and able to translate into formal technical requirements and code. o Develop and execute unit tests, integration plans, and scripts.
