Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Finance & Accounting industry, located in Memphis, Tennessee, 38120, United States. The Sr. Accountant will oversee the month-end close process for designated operating areas, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with internal policies and procedures. This role will also involve account reconciliations, journal entry postings, financial analysis, and other assigned projects.Responsibilities: Oversee the month-end close process for designated operating areas, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies Prepare and record journal entries on a monthly basis Carry out detailed account reconciliations Analyze revenue and expense variances to ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting entries Generate management reports utilizing financial and statistical data Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal policies and procedures Provide assistance to internal and external auditors Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities Undertake various projects as requested Offer support to customers and internal stakeholders with revenue and accounting inquiries Drive process improvements to streamline operations. Requirements Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant. Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation. Proven experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation. Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations. Solid understanding of General Ledger management. Experience in Journal Entries preparation and management. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience in Month End Close procedures. Familiarity with NetSuite accounting software. Experience with Oracle accounting software. Proficiency in SAP accounting software. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CPA certification is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
