Memphis-based residential contractor that specializes in finish carpentry, cabinetry, and general specialized carpentry services is looking for a carpenter that is experienced in the field.
Any applicant must fulfill the following requirements:
- Be experienced with different types of finish carpentry, i.e. millwork/trim installation, door installations, shelving, and cabinetry, as well as some timber framing, cornice/exterior trim, framing, etc.
- Be able to handle the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter, plus be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly. We primarily work on interior/finish projects, but any applicant must be prepared for regular amounts of framing/timber framing, which is typically harder working conditions.
- Have, at the least, their own hand tools/tool belt. Additional tools such as finish nailers, drill, impact driver, oscillating tool are all big pluses.
- Have their own reliable transportation and a valid drivers license.
- Be willing to commit to a probationary period in order to assess skills/capabilities. This period of time is typically 30 days, but is at our discretion.
- Have a desire to be involved with a team of meticulous craftsmen, take great pride in their work, and be open to criticism and scrutiny of methods (especially through probationary period.)
Please do not waste our time if you do not fulfill the above requirements, can not work in a team setting, or always have some reason you can't get to work, etc. Projects are typically in the Memphis area, but we take on projects as far as 1 hour from Memphis. Travel pay is paid accordingly for these projects and/or car pooling is usually available, but applicants need to have reliable transportation as listed above for a majority of projects.
