AUTO SHOP SERVICE WRITER
An auto shop service writer, also known as a service advisor or coordinator, is a liaison between customers and the repair shop. They are responsible for many tasks, including:
Customer service: Greeting customers, answering questions, and handling complaints
Repair process: Creating price estimates, requesting parts, and scheduling service
Communication: Communicating customer needs to technicians and updating customers on the progress of their repairs
Business operations: Processing customer transactions, maintaining service marketing programs, and ensuring vehicles are parked correctly
As the right candidate you should have a basic understanding of vehicle anatomy, common repairs, and regular maintenance.
