Our company, American Contractors Exam Services, provides preparation to candidates that need to pass a state exam as required to become a Licensed Contractor (Commercial, Residential, Electrical, HVAC and/or Plumbing). We prepare candidates in a classroom style, seminar format over a 1 to 5 day period. All presentations follow a PowerPoint slide deck that you, along with our supervision, will maintain.
The ideal candidate for this position will:
have a background in construction (but not 100% necessary)
understand and have working knowledge of building codes
We are looking for an instructor that:
is proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
has an understanding of how to use basic multi-media tools for presenting material (LED projector, laptop, remote, etc)
is strong in math and can teach/explain somewhat complex formulas
can articulate his thoughts well
has a command of the English Language
This position requires some overnight travel but all expenses are 100 percent paid. You will have access to a company vehicle or commercial airlines; therefore, you must have a current and valid state-issued driver's license and be able to pass our insurance company's standard DMV background check.
This position requires you to host a seminar, classroom style, that will require you:
to be ready and available by 6:45 am daily to check in and process attendees
to be able to stand in front of a group of people/attendees and present from 8 am until about 5 pm for three to five consecutive days
to have a dynamic personality with charisma and patience
We are looking for someone that is interested in a full-time position that will require you to maintain regular business hours throughout the week.
