Local land surveying firm looking to hire an individual to be part of a crew to run survey instrument. This is a full time job working outdoors. The Instrument man is responsible for operating surveying instrument and working with the party chief in conducting field surveys. Duties will also include load and unloading equipment and supplies from work trucks, taking notes and making sketches. Other duties my include driving stakes, clearing line and carrying survey supplies.
Must be able stand for long periods of time, walk long distances and lift and carry up to 35 lbs. in all kinds of terrain and weather.
Be able to work effectively with team members and follow direction from party chief.
Must enjoy working outdoors
Reliable transportation
Valid driver’s license
Strong math skills
Good work ethic
High school diploma or GED certification
Experience is a plus, but we will train
