Summary
HCA ITG Consulting Automation Engineers are innovative individuals who use creativity and stakeholder partnerships to deliver business value. Consulting Automation Engineers utilize technical expertise and leadership skills to identify automation opportunities across IT Service Management processes. Consulting Automation Engineers ensure the execution on automation efforts with enterprise interdependencies, size, visibility, and complexity levels and communicate across multiple channels including ITG and Business Operations, to design and document desired solutions, develop automations according to best practices and guidelines, and test automations to approved plans. Consulting Automation Engineers have ownership of their efforts from conception, through the deployment of their products, including turnover to the appropriate technical and user support organizations. As a recognized leader, Consulting Automation Engineers will be sought after to coach and mentor colleagues.

Consulting Automation Engineers also serve as automation and technology consultants to other ITG and Business Units. Consulting Automation Engineers use their expansive technical and business expertise to inform decisions around process reengineering, technical feasibility, technical solutioning, development practices, deployment engineering, and support functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to identify automation opportunities across Service Management Operations
  • Prepare business cases for automation projects based on client needs and available budgets
  • Estimate the total cost of an automation project, including labor costs associated with implementation, maintenance, and support
  • Develop detailed plans for new or existing automated systems, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance
  • Consult with clients to assess current business processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine whether an automation project is likely to succeed and what challenges may be encountered during implementation
  • Manage client relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction with project results
  • Develop project proposals based on client needs and desired outcomes
  • Conduct regular progress reviews during implementation to ensure that the project stays on track and meets its objectives
  • Recommend any necessary changes to the design of an automated system to improve its effectiveness
