In this role, you will be building complex data engineering and business intelligence applications using AWS stack. You should have deep knowledge and passion in working with large data sets, building complex data processes, performance tuning, bringing data from disparate data stores and programmatically identifying patterns.Key job responsibilities-Collaborate with data scientists and business intelligence engineers to deliver high quality data architecture and pipelines.-Make large and/or complex data more accessible, understandable and usable by implementing advanced BI dashboards and applications.-Own the design, development, and maintenance of metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards to drive key business decisions.-Triage many possible courses of action in a high-ambiguity environment, making use of both quantitative analysis and business judgment.-Build and manage automated, fault tolerant and scalable data solutions leveraging state of the art technologies including but not limited to Spark, EMR, Python, Redshift, Glue and S3.A day in the lifeData Engineers spend their days balancing customer requests, operational excellence, and making improvements to the core infrastructure. You will: (1) Actively partner with our tech and non-tech team members in designing and implementing our roadmaps for key Customer Service metrics; (2) Look around corners and be creative; (3) Continuously evaluate and improve our strategy, architecture, tooling and codebase to maximize performance, scalability and availability; and (4) Apply software best practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, agile development, build processes, and testing.If you are not sure that every qualification on the list above describes you exactly, we'd still love to hear from you! About the teamOur team maintains secure and compliant infrastructure that supports changing data needs for Customer Service teams. This requires data engineering problem solving to build high quality, reliable, accurate, consistent, and architecturally scalable data solutions that are aligned with our business objectives.Basic Qualifications

1+ years of data engineering experience

Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Experience with one or more query language (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)

Experience with one or more scripting language (e.g., Python, KornShell)

Experience as a data engineer or related specialty (e.g., software engineer, business intelligence engineer, data scientist) with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR

Experience with any ETL tool like, Informatica, ODI, SSIS, BODI, Datastage, etc.

Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure

The base pay for this position ranges from $91,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
