Position Title: Full Stack Software Engineer (.Net)-Remote TW1JP00005199-Nashville TN Location : REMOTE (Eastern OR Central) Type : 6+ months contract
As a software and database developer will work with other technology colleagues, actively developing solutions that focus on bringing data and analytics to life with mature data integration, data ingestion and data consumption strategies. • Contributing to the overall CRB data vision and strategy that underpins the CRB technology strategy. • Building functionality to advance the CRB data strategy with a focus on data integration and data consumption through various technical tool sets • Working with appropriate stakeholders to understand system and functional requirements • Building and delivering technical excellence across the organization through the use of Azure based tools (i.e. Azure Synapse Analytics, ADF, Azure Storage, Azure Application Services, Azure Event Hubs/Grids) • Ability to build functionality through dotNet, Python, EntityFramework as it relates to ingesting data, moving data, or consumption of data • Ability to handle multiple development streams within a given time period • Be able to think BIG and deliver iteratively at the same time as well as problem solving and data-driven analysis skills • Ability to quickly assimilate new and complex technologies and concepts and disseminate to other team members • Implements new areas of data technologies, (ingestion, processing, distribution) and research delivery methods that can remove technical barriers to data access and distribution
Experience Sought • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related subject or similar experience from work related roles • Designing and building solutions in SQL Server or Cloud Data instances (SQL, SSIS, Polybase, AzureSQL, ADF 2.0, Azure Synapse Analytics) - (2 years plus) • Hands on experience with SQL development on-prem and cloud based, demonstrating a mastery of use to handle extraction, storage, complex queries, stored procedures, performance, movement, and securing data within an enterprise environment - (8 years plus) • Hands on dotNet, Entity Framework, Python and Azure based application tools to work with the internal processes of the team that augment the data load, migration, movement, and outputs into shared solutions with other technical teams and business users - (5 years plus) • Hands on API building and deploying (inbound and outbound) - (2 years plus) • Dev-ops experience using GIT, developing, deploying code to production - (3 years) • Ability to convert business requirements and complex source datasets into technical designs and functional, high quality code • Knowledge of designing, implementing and evolving data solutions using the Microsoft’s SQL functions and Azure Cloud tools related to the Modern Data Warehouse
Additional Experience Sought • Competent in working with large data sets and co-mingling the data for business/system consumption - (6 years plus) • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, continuous deployment, testing, and operations • Hands on experience in Database design and Data warehousing (Data Modeling and Management techniques, including Modern Data Warehouse Architecture) - (3 years plus) • Ability to convert business requirements and complex source datasets into technical designs and functional, high quality code • Working Knowledge in using Azure Cloud Services such as Key Vaults, Logic Apps, Power Automate, Machine Learning, or other services that are part of the Azure Cloud experience for data management, access, and visualizations • Knowledge of the Insurance industry and its practices and syntax as it relates to data and technology
