These teams are making an impact in a variety of areas, including: our whole home tech help product, the tools that orchestrate and allow our experts to provide in-person support, the kiosk experience that customers get live video help with at phone carrier stores, and the customer web portal for partners like Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint.Engineering Managers play a key role for our journey teams as their primary responsibility is to build and support an environment where teams can do their best work. Our teams work in modern technologies and have autonomy to choose the right tools for the job. Create innovative, customer-facing, experiences that have a huge impact on our customers

Build a highly collaborative engineering team through coaching, hiring, mentoring, and regular feedback

Be accountable for the delivery of the team; working in partnership with product managers, designers, and other teams to build world-class products

Establish a learning culture focused on minimizing feedback loops and running experiments with limited blast radius

Share and advocate for engineering best practices such as pair-programming, continuous deployment, and modern architecture approaches

With input from the team, craft a technology roadmap outlining key investment areas needed

What you’ll bring to the team

You are a servant leader who understands their success is defined by the success and growth of their team

A technologist at heart, utilizing experience as an engineer to ask good questions, gain credibility with the team, and be a bridge to non-technical stakeholders

Passionate about utilizing lean and agile practices to launch small iterations and capitalize on engineering practices that enable shipping software multiple times per day

You’ve worked in high-scale, customer-facing technology before and understand the monitoring and scale considerations necessary

1 years’ experience as an engineering manager leading teams of 4

3 years’ experience as a full-stack software engineer building customer-facing products
