We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) oversees all aspects of application testing activities for a given effort. The Senior SDET will be responsible for building automated test cases using the automation framework for a given project effort. This role will lead high-level test design and strategies within the project team(s). The Senior SDET will assist in maintaining the QA test automation framework within the project, strategy, support, and training.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESParticipate and actively engage in development planning sessions with the product analyst and development team.Analyze requirements for initiatives to determine any gaps in logic that may require changes the overall solution.Effectively communicate with stakeholders pertaining to project estimates, schedules, time lines and critical issues that would prevent a go/no go.Help define and implement operational and process improvement strategies for testing activities.Creates and leads cross training sessions to increase production knowledge and promote best practices across the team.Mentor junior team members.Help to oversee and lead other junior SDET in their daily activities.Help to create onboarding materials for new hires as well as helping to train those new hires to existing established processes.Sit in on interviews for new SDET candidates.Help to create QA Roadmaps, ensuring proper resource coverage across projects. Helping to determine gaps in coverage and helping to adjust resources to cover accordingly.Partner with development team to drive automation first efforts and best practices.Work with junior SDETs to help remove obstacles as needed.Regular test case and code review for junior SDET efforts.Identify and drive process improvements for the team.Build and maintain automated test scripts through Selenium framework using programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, C#, etc.Work hand in hand with the development team to understand any new functionality being requested, how it can be automated and to execute on the automation at the time that development is coding said functionality.Maintain scheduled automations.Follow test automation best practices.Collaborate with the scrum team members to develop Agile testing strategies that address areas such as database impacts, functional software use cases, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, and/or usability.Help the team prevent defects by baking in quality practices early in the planning and development phases.Oversee defect discovery, prevention and tracking with the scrum team.Execute manual testing when automation may not be ideal.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, etc.Experience in database management systems such as SQL, BigQuery, etc.Experience in implementation of automation framework using Selenium.Experience in API and API Design Best Practices.Experience in one or more source code repositories such as Github etc.Experience in each of the different testing methodologies (Unit, Integration/System, Functional and Acceptance).Functional knowledge of UIPath is preferred.What qualifications you will need:EDUCATIONBachelor’s Degree RequiredRELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE5 or more yearsOTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONSPatient experience knowledge is a plusKnowledge of agile processesHealthcare experience is a plusGood communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage prioritiesDemonstrated logic and analytical abilityUnderstanding and commitment to the importance of delivering QualityHCA Healthcare has been recognized as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies® by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times.
