Staff Accountant

Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to be a part of our team in Nashville, Tennessee. The Staff Accountant will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including the review and preparation of financial statements, tax return preparation and filing, as well as the organization and maintenance of financial records. The role will also involve the analysis of account books for accuracy, the preparation of documents for external auditors, and making recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.Responsibilities: Accurately prepare and review financial statements to ensure legal compliance Handle the preparation and filing of tax returns in a timely manner Input accounting-related data into the appropriate business logs Conduct thorough inspections of account books to ensure efficiency and accuracy Organize, update, and maintain comprehensive financial records Propose strategies to reduce costs and boost revenue based on financial analysis Execute monthly bank settlements with precision Prepare the necessary documentation for the facilitation of external audits Carry out 'Month End Close' processes efficiently. Requirements Position: Staff Accountant Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role Proficient in performing Month End Close activities Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Excellent communication and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong analytical skills Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP Ability to work independently and as part of a team High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and initiative Certification such as CPA is a plus, but not required.
