Prepares workpapers, sales tax returns, audit responses, and process improvements to support tax compliance and planning initiatives.

Responsibilities

Compiling and analyzing data for tax compliance and audit.

Working closely with business partners / customers to ensure appropriate information is gathered.

Preparing workpapers, calculations, and appropriate tax forms.

Researching specific state and/or local tax regulations aligned with job responsibilities.

Classifies local, state and federal tax considerations. Lists the types of information needed to complete tax returns. Identifies the basic tools used for filing tax returns.Tax Regulations: Knowledge of federal, state and local tax procedures and regulations; ability to adhere to tax regulations when filing forms as they pertain to a particular business or industry.Level Working Knowledge: Explains the impact of taxation on the organization's bottom line. Prepares basic tax forms for filing. Assists in analyzing tax liability in at least one area of the business. Follows current general tax regulations as they pertain to own industry.
