Time and Labor AnalystLocation: Nashville, TNCompany: NWI Nashville, LLCPosition SummaryReporting to the controller, the Time and Labor Analyst is responsible for tracking and processing hourly employee timesheets, ensuring accuracy of each timesheet, and for entering any additional information, such as an employee's vacation, time off, or sick leave. The timekeeper will approve hourly time sheets at the end of the pay period and work with employees and supervisors to resolve any reporting errors in time cards, such as forgetting to punch out of work.The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal direction, and produce high-quality, error-free work. This role requires flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities, the ability to use independent judgment and decision-making skills, multitasking capabilities, and professional interpersonal skills.Duties and Responsibilities
Accurately allocate and enter time for a large population of employees
Process employee time and attendance data from timesheets and reconcile variances
Work with employees and managers regarding timekeeping discrepancies and finding resolutions
Collaborate with HR and payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll
Record and maintain accurate records of employee time off
Enter time against jobs when applicable
Monitor attendance and adherence to schedules
Ensure adherence to company policies
Generate reports on timekeeping data as required
Establish schedules and perform time system daily maintenance
Participate in the monthly closing process and prepare journal entries as needed to support closing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights
Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
Provide backup support for Finance team members
Perform other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience as a timekeeper or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of timekeeping systems and ERP software
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information discretely and routinely
Superior communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
Must work well in a team-based environment
Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
