Barista

As the Barista and a Café Ambassador, you are part of the face of our establishment, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Your primary focus will be to ensure that our guests have a positive and memorable experience, whether as a Barista or Café Ambassador. Your passion for hospitality will play a key role in delivering exceptional service and fostering a sense of community within our establishment.

Shift: Monday-Friday

Hours: 8am-5pm

Pay: $23

Perks: Parking covered and Catered lunch 3x a week.

Responsibilities:

Welcome and greet guests warmly, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive.

Serve as a coffee expert for the café's offerings.

Make espresso and tea beverages per guest preferences.

Promptly address any guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints with a professional and empathetic approach, ensuring swift resolutions and guest satisfaction.

Go above and beyond to exceed guests' expectations.

Monitor and restock barista supplies as needed. Inform management of any inventory shortages.

Keep the Barista area clean and organized.

Coordinate closely with the café staff to ensure timely setup of food and beverages for guests.

Set up lunch buffets and box lunches to usual specifications.

Proactively monitor the dining area and lunch buffet to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment, promptly addressing any issues that may arise.

Break-down and clean-up of lunch setup, including discarding food, storing leftovers, wiping down surfaces, organizing chairs.

Washing and sanitizing dishes, glassware, silverware and other tasks as needed.

Keep refrigerator clean and organized at all time, perform deep cleaning as needed

Uphold strict adherence to health and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.

Conduct routine checks to maintain a clean and tidy environment, addressing any potential hazards or cleanliness issues promptly.

Act as a role model for proper hygiene practices, promoting a culture of cleanliness.

Actively seek and collect guest feedback, encouraging guests to share their experiences and suggestions.

Report positive and negative feedback to Client Relations Manager or Director.

Actively participate in training programs, including the utilization of the Cornerstone platform, to enhance your knowledge and skills in the role of an Ambassador.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

2-3 years of Barista experience

Ability to understand client inquiries and provide effective responses

Experience in using Microsoft Office products and applications

Understands the importance of delivering added value to clients
