Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to support our kitchen team. The Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting with various tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and portion vegetables, fruits, and proteins according to recipe specifications.

- Food Assembly: Assist in assembling and pre-cooking items such as sauces, marinades, and side dishes.

-Stock Management: Help with organizing and storing ingredients and supplies, ensuring they are fresh and properly labeled.

- Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.

- Assistance: Support line cooks and other kitchen staff with tasks as needed during peak service times.

- Compliance: Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.

- Inventory: Report any shortages or issues with supplies to the kitchen manager or head cook.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.

- Skills: Basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and an understanding of food safety practices.

- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely to ensure consistency and quality.

- Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle a fast-paced environment.

- Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Adaptability: Flexibility to handle changing priorities and tasks in a dynamic food truck environment

- Speak Spanish is a plus but not required.

Work Schedule:

- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. Tuesday to Saturday from 12pm to 8 pm and some Sundays.

- Ability to handle varying shifts based on food truck schedules and events.
