Kitchen Staff Summary of Position:
Opportunity to work in a downtown Nashville historic landmark restaurant. In need of all level line cooks who enjoy working in a fast paced high intensity kitchen. Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience in a scratch kitchen and standard knife skills.
Kitchen Staff Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
Cook and package batches of food that is prepared to order or kept warm until sold.
Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously.
Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.
Operate large-volume cooking equipment
Prepare specialty foods
Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by patron, and prepare and cook food according to instructions.
Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking.
Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases.
Order and take delivery of supplies.

Kitchen Staff Qualifications:
Be at least 18 years of age
Reliable transportation
Work nights and weekends
2+ Years scratch kitchen experience
High School Diploma preferred
Be able to reach and bend and frequently lift up to 30 pounds
Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
Possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to work well with others.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
