OFFICE NURSE

We are seeking Full-time Office Nurse. The office nurse is responsible for delivering quality patient care. The Office Nurse handles phone calls from patients who are seeking medical information or medical attention. The Office Nurse will often assist the physician during procedures and will provide post procedure care. No evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.
Job Duties:
· Prep patient for physician visit
· Document patient records
· Administer medications
· Assist in procedures
· Responsible for pre-procedure vital signs and chart review
· Responsible for monitoring patients during and post procedure
· Counsel patients and family members before, during and after treatment
· Respond to inquiries and complaints from patients
Refills patient medications following physician’s protocols and documents in eCW
Responds to all urgent messages within 60 mins and all routine messages within 48 hours. Address urgent messages sooner than 60 mins if deemed necessary.
Gives injections and documents all pertinent info into eCW. Prepares and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
Checks all supplies, medications, and samples monthly for expiration dates and notifies Practice Manger via checklist.
Maintains autoclave cleaning maintenance records.
Handles surgery scheduling and associated functions
Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct, Core Values, and Behavior Expectations.
Logs into company Email, eCW, and Paycor daily.
Job Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· RN License or Certification for Medical Assistant
· eClinicalworks (eCW) experience preferred
· Wound and perioperative care experience
ACLS/BLS preferred, but not required to apply
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: This position requires the following minimum requirements:
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
Skill in assisting in a variety of treatments and medications as directed.
Skill in taking vital signs and giving injections.
Skill in maintain records and recording test results.
Ability to maintain quality control records.
Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly.
Maintains competencies and certifications as applicable to job duties and title.
EXPERIENCE:
One(1) year of experience in a physician practice is preferred.
eClinicalWorks EMR experience preferred; but not required
Surgery experience, wound care and drain care a plus.
