I'm a 34-year-old man with paralysis and limited arm function seeking a reliable weekend caregiver to assist with daily living activities and community outings.
Job Responsibilities:
Personal care assistance (bathing, grooming, oral hygiene)
Dressing and undressing
Meal preparation and feeding assistance
Transfers using Hoyer lift (training can be provided)
Bathroom assistance and catheter management
Light housekeeping (changing bed linens, tidying living space)
Medication reminders
Transportation to/from community activities and errands
Assistance with positioning and range of motion
Medical Knowledge/Experience:
Experience with catheter care preferred but willing to train
Basic knowledge of transfer techniques, willing to train
Ability to recognize and respond to medical concerns
Ideal Candidate:
Male caregiver, preferably in 20s-40s
Physically active and able to assist with transfers
Energetic person who enjoys getting out in the community
Comfortable with facilitating various outings and social activities
Reliable transportation
Dependable and punctual
Good communication skills
Positive attitude and respectful demeanor
Prior caregiving experience helpful but not required for the right candidate
