JOB SUMMARY

The Foreman for the Industrial Division will lead and supervise a team on industrial coating and surface preparation projects. They will be responsible for daily monitoring and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. This hands-on leadership role requires a strong background in blasting and painting operations, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to quality and safety. Additionally, they will be responsible for scheduling work with GC, owner and/or other trades, and communicating directly with CIP superintendent and/or project manager overseeing the job.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead and coordinate daily operations of the sandblasting and painting crew.

- Interpret project specifications and scope of work to ensure accurate and efficient execution.

- Perform and oversee surface preparation and coating applications according to SSPC standards.

- Conduct quality control checks to verify compliance with job requirements and customer expectations.

- Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems to minimize downtime.

- Enforce and promote a culture of safety by ensuring all safety procedures and protocols are followed.

- Complete and submit daily job site inspection reports and progress updates.

- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and project managers.

- Assist in training and mentoring crew members to improve skill sets and job performance.

- Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

- Proven experience in blasting and industrial painting operations.

- Previous experience as a foreman or crew leader in industrial coating projects.

- Familiarity with Painting, Coating & Spraying Machine operations (minimum 1 year).

- Basic computer proficiency (email, digital reports, documentation).

- Solid understanding of SSPC (Society for Protective Coatings) Surface Preparation Standards and application procedures.

- Ability to travel to various job sites, including overnight stays, up to 25% of the time.

- Certification(s) in industrial painting or coating application preferred (e.g., NACE, SSPC).

- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification preferred.

- Experience with plural component spray systems and high-performance coatings preferred.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

- Hours: Monday thru Friday, typically 8 hours per day, between 6:30AM and 5PM, total of approximately 40 hours per week.

- Overnight travel within 3-4 hours of Nashville will be required. Weekend work will be required. Overtime will be required.
