Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating forklifts and other equipment to move materials around our facility safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate forklift and other equipment to transport materials throughout the facility.
2. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage areas.
3. Move materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and shipping areas.
4. Ensure all materials are handled safely and securely to prevent damage or accidents.
5. Assist with inventory management by accurately recording material movements and locations.
6. Follow safety procedures and regulations always to maintain a safe working environment.
7. Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
8. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and resolve any issues or concerns.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience operating forklifts or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
4. Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials and work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
6. Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
