What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking an experienced and driven Shop Manager with a diverse skill set to oversee and optimize our sign shop operations. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, leadership skills, and customer service abilities to ensure seamless production and installation of high-quality signage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Proficiency: Create and edit designs using software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flexi to meet customer specifications.
- Production Management: Coordinate production schedules, assign tasks, and ensure timely project completion.
- Customer Interaction: Understand client needs, manage expectations, and provide excellent customer service.
- Sales and Marketing: Build relationships, generate leads, and promote our services to grow the business.
- Technical Expertise: Operate and maintain sign-making equipment, including CNC routers, laser machines, and printers.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate staff, delegate responsibilities, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage purchasing, and minimize material waste.
- Project Management: Ensure projects are completed within deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and resolve production or installation issues to maintain smooth operations.
Additional Areas of Expertise:
- Visual Design Understanding: Ensure signage is aesthetically pleasing and aligned with customer expectations.
- Basic Mechanical Skills: Operate and troubleshoot sign-making machinery and tools.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in sign production and large-format digital printing.
- 5+ years of experience managing people and processes in a production setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Flexi.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read architectural drawings and blueprints (preferred).
