Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced OSHA 500 Safety Specialist to join our team in Maryville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational safety and health, with specific expertise in OSHA standards and regulations. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and maintaining compliance with all relevant safety laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage safety programs and policies in accordance with OSHA standards.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Provide training and education to employees on safety practices and procedures.
Investigate and report on workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and standards.
Maintain safety records and documentation.
Collaborate with management to develop safety goals and objectives.
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance workplace safety.
Stay current on new safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
OSHA 500 certification is required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in a construction safety role.
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Ability to conduct thorough investigations and produce detailed reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
