I am looking for someone to help train and care for with my Friesen stallion. Ulderijk, ‘Ricky’, is a sweet 16-year-old. He has had all the basing ground work and has been ridden, once, but needs a refresher course in just about everything. Ricky is a FHANA registered Star Stallion. Goffert x Oege!
I would like to find someone that knows natural horsemanship methods, everything except Pat Perrelli style. Long lining and ground driving knowledge.
Also, because I am recovering from a couple of injuries, I need help occasionally with basic care. Bathing, brushing and combing his 52 inch long HAIR! Sound like fun? I may also use him for breeding this summer. So, knowledge on horse husbandry and how to get out the way very quickly is a plus.
It’s definitely not a full-time job. The schedule would be at your convenience but subject to weather conditions…at least two days weekly.
For an MTSU student, who may need a title on your resume… Farm Manager at Foot Hill Friesians, or something’s else of your choosing.
Hourly rate depending on experience.
