Mechanic with own shop wanted to fix motor.
2017 Kia Optima 1.6 Litre Turbo.
Crankshaft Pulley fell off of Crankshaft. The Crankshaft/Pulley dowel pin is sheared off flush. Can't be tapped due to hardness of dowel pin metal and would need to be out of block.
I want a replacement crankshaft kit installed (only).
The replacement crankshaft kit includes bearings and other.is available locally for a fair price.
I don't want the entire block rebuilt. I don't need a lengthy warranty either.
This engine had a new head with 12,000 mile warranty installed spring 2024. This car starts and runs great but alternator and other belt run components are not turning due to Crankshaft/Pulley dowel pin issue.
Remove engine. Place on stand. Replace crankshaft with Crankshaft Kit. Re-install motor. That's it.
Give me a 60 day warranty.
