Project Manager – Roles & Responsibilities

Role Overview:

The Project Manager at BEC Innovations is responsible for overseeing residential renovation projects from construction kickoff to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the high-quality standards and client experience that set BEC Innovations apart.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution:

 Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all phases progress efficiently.

 Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and in-house teams to align on timelines and deliverables.

 Monitor procurement and ensure materials arrive as needed for seamless project execution.

 Ensure all necessary permits and inspections are scheduled and completed on time.

Client Experience & Communication:

 Explain the process of the renovation with the client through the Construction Kickoff and answer any questions from the homeowner.

 Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the renovation process.

 Provide regular updates to clients regarding project status, timelines, and any challenges. These should be sent weekly on Thursdays to prevent stressful communications over the weekend.

 Proactively address and resolve any concerns to maintain high customer satisfaction.

 Conduct blue tape walkthroughs and ensure all final details are completed to BEC Innovations standards.

Budget & Quality Control:

 Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.

 Ensure subcontractor pricing aligns with BEC Innovations budgets.

 Conduct frequent site visits to monitor workmanship and adherence to specifications.

 Identify and mitigate any risks that could impact project costs, quality, or timelines. Elevate any issues that are outside of your control quickly and efficiently.

Team & Subcontractor Management:

 Assign and oversee tasks for field crews and subcontractors.

 Ensure all team members adhere to safety regulations and company standards.

 Foster a collaborative and efficient job site environment.

Problem Solving & Risk Management:

 Quickly assess and resolve unexpected issues that arise during renovations.

 Communicate potential risks or delays and implement solutions to keep projects on track.

 Ensure compliance with building codes, OSHA regulations, and other industry standards.

Technology & Reporting:

 Use company project management software to track progress, document issues, and communicate with the team and homeowners.

 Maintain accurate records of project changes, expenses, and updates.

 Provide leadership with regular project status reports and insights.
