JOB TITLE: Team Lead (Production / Warehouse) LOCATION: ShelbyvilleTITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Production SupervisorNOTE: This is a multi-position / multi-incumbent job. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OR PURPOSE OF JOB:This role is responsible for gathering data from production credit sheets and assembling it into useful production reports. Data is processed both manually and with a computer. Incumbents also have secretarial/clerical duties of a plant and engineering nature. Team Leader role responsibilities include: directing work flow, training new employees into various positions, improving work processes, maintaining control of the inventory, overseeing quality control efforts and special projects. This position coordinates day-to-day production flow, assigning work and establishing priorities for department. This position is also responsible for training/compliance with safety and operational guidelines on all equipment (forklifts, presses, folders, inserters, etc.) as well as overall warehouse safety (lifting, use of ladders, safety aisle, etc.)NOTE: This position is located in a non-climate-controlled facility. The incumbent will be required to stand and walk for the entire duration of the shift, and full range of motion, including bending, lifting, and reaching, is essential to perform the duties of the role.RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:ItemResponsibility/Function%Time1

Daily recording of plant production, impressions/hour and product line hours

Issue weekly and monthly production reports

Review for reasonableness all production, product line hour and impressions reports

Provide special reporting for trainee progress reports and operator evaluations

Maintain and report on outside contractor labor records, and purchased supply costs.

Maintain and record Environmental Compliance Records

Waste water reporting

Monthly chemical inventory

Air emissions and self-reporting

File and maintain DOT compliance records

Maintain master list of MSDS sheets – update department MSDS books as needed

Provide labels for chemical containers as requested

Maintain and update engineering information files by tracking and compiling reports on:

Rerun costing

Announcement sheets bumped

Setups for various operations

Maintain training records

Police credit-taking procedures

Perform other duties as delegated or assigned

5%Required:

1-2 years' experience as a team lead or similar role overseeing hourly employees

High school diploma or GED

Ability to work and contribute in a team based environment

Ability to key 45 wpm with minimal errors

Ability to operate 10-key calculator

1-2 years’ experience in computer operation/data processing

Ability to rapidly become familiar with all operations codes, product codes and product lines produced in the Shelbyville facility

Preferred:

Forklift Certification
