Small, vibrant Architecture & Design firm seeking skilled intermediate architect for part-time position. 20-30hrs a week to start with the potential to grow. The hours are flexible. In-person work from our office space. Start date : April - May 2024
The ideal person will have a minimum 6 years of relevant experience, and must have project management experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, Drafting and Drawing Management for all project phases (Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Permitting, Bidding, Construction Administration)
-Measuring and documenting, and drawing accurate existing conditions drawings of existing buildings
-Project Management and Client Relations
-Miscellaneous office administration, marketing, presentation drawing and rendering tasks
REQUIREMENTS:
- minimum 6 years working experience, project management experience
- Minimum education: Bachelor of Architecture
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Proficient in Revit
- Experience with single family mid-high end residential projects a must. Multi-family experience a plus. Commercial and institutional project experience a plus.
-Passive House/Living Future certification/high performance building experience a plus
-Ability to prepare building and interior fixtures and finishes specifications
- Sensitivity to art & design, interior design, landscapes and furniture, lighting
- Experience with construction documents and details
- Familiarity with local codes & zoning
- Experience with Construction Administration
- Experience interacting with clients and organizing projects
- Possess an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Hand sketching ability a plus
- Personality that thrives in a small team environment
- Exceptional level of attention to detail and organizational and time management skills
- renovation and ground-up building experience a plus
- Technical proficiency with new construction a plus
