Professional landscape gardening experience would be a plus but it's not required. This will be outdoors work so participants will need good cold weather gear and work boots in case of weather.
I'm hiring two people to help clean and clear wooded areas, spots along the creek, and the space occupied by a retail greenhouse and shrub yard. Some of these areas are wild and others were previously garden space before nature reclaimed them.
Work will include:
cutting small saplings, brush and branches with loppers, hand saws, etc.
cutting small and fallen trees with chainsaw
weedeating creek bank and other rough areas
operating power shears
raking leaves
blowing leaves
a lot of picking up sticks and dragging tarps
lifting and carrying pallets, container plants, bags of soil, etc.
pushing wheelbarrow on level ground or up a hill
spreading mulch
endurance tests on the pull-up bar (not really just seeing if you're reading all this)
maybe some planting
driving small utility vehicle with dump bed
moving plant inventory around
handling large sheets or rolls of plastic that's super fun to fold
burning brush and debris (starting and tending fire)
potentially various other general labor tasks
I have tools but you're welcome to bring your own if you like.
There are two properties to be worked, within half a mile of one another. The first is a little over 2 acres and the second is less than one acre.
These aren't huge places but they are pretty shaggy in places. The projects involve hard work but nothing that's absolutely brutal.
Scale of 1 to 10 with one being pie taster and 10 being hard labor in hell for all eternity, I place this project at a 6.
There will be sweat. You will get dirty. It's possible you'll be sore after a day or two.
Sometimes you may have to fight boar and coyote with your bare hands. Not really - see it ain't that bad.

This can be a straightforward, no BS little gig for someone willing to bust ass and care about the quality of their work. I am EASY to get along with and you will always know where you stand with me.
Much of the time you may be working on your own or with another helper. I won't be with you everyday.
Show up when I need you, get stuff done, and I'll do all I can to make this a worthwhile experience for you.
The project will likely span 2 to 3 weeks. Afterwards there may be opportunity to work on outbound landscaping projects, meaning assist with landscape gardening services for my customers. This can be discussed on site if interested.
