Your New RoleAt Leidos, we’re in search of a highly skilled Asset and Software Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting IT Service Delivery by managing the lifecycle of IT assets and configuration items for hardware and software. The candidate in this role will have the following responsibilities:Responsibilities include:Manage IT hardware asset portfolio with respect to risk, cost control, governance, compliance, and performance objectivesPlan and implement IT hardware asset life cycle strategy; advise Procurement and IT Operations in procurement strategies for IT hardware acquisitionServe as IT hardware asset management subject matter expertOptimise usage and cost of IT hardware deploymentsManage acquisition, deployment, monitoring/maintenance, tracking, security, and final disposition of IT assetsEnsure a clear understanding of contractual service support requirements and work to maintain compliance with service agreementsOversee the documentation and management of contract-related informationDevelop and maintain documentation for asset and configuration management processes and procedures. This includes creating standard operating procedures, work instructions, and guidelines to ensure consistency and clarity.Ensure that asset and configuration data is fit for its intended purpose and delivers value to the business. Align data management practices with organizational goals and objectives.Manage the IT asset lifecycle and configuration items for both hardware and software, specifically for end-users
