Level: IntermediatePosition SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Network Configuration Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for remotely configuring, testing, and securing customer-premises equipment (CPE) across a wide range of technologies and platforms. You will collaborate with IT developers to automate provisioning workflows and ensure seamless, secure, and scalable customer experience.Key ResponsibilitiesRemote Configuration & Deployment
Configure and validate routers, switches, SD-WAN devices, firewalls, and media converters (Cisco, Juniper, Adtran, VeloCloud, Mushroom, etc.) for customer deployments.Template Management & Automation
Maintain and enhance configuration templates for various ISP/MSP service types. Collaborate with software developers to automate provisioning and reduce manual effort.Pre-Deployment Testing
Conduct functional and security testing of customer equipment to ensure readiness prior to shipment.Inventory & System Integration
Load configuration data and metadata into inventory, provisioning, and order management systems.Troubleshooting & RCA
Perform root cause analysis on failed or returned equipment and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Security & Compliance
Apply and maintain security policies to safeguard customer and internal networks from unauthorized access or abuse.Cross-Functional Communication
Coordinate with technical support, service delivery, NOC, and engineering teams to ensure visibility into configuration changes and deployment status.Process Improvement
Identify and automate repetitive tasks to focus on complex configurations and enhance the overall customer experience.Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Fortinet devices, including firewalls and access pointsFamiliarity with FortiOS and basic security policies (VPN, NAT, firewall rules)Fortinet certification (e.g., NSE 4) preferred
