This is a vital role in ensuring MFS can calculate independent Net Asset Values of investment funds. A Portfolio Operations (PO) Senior Associate will operate and oversee reconciliation and NAV review technology to deliver a full reconciled gross Net Asset Value to client operations teams or clients, including cash, positions, dividend & interest reconciliations.A PO Senior Associate will have a strong understanding of what drives the value of an investment fund, the types of products it trades and the nature of day-to-day operations between an investment fund and its counterparties, all alongside a keen interest in learning new technologies and skills.A PO Senior Associate may be tasked with reviewing the work of an Associate; ensuring tasks are completed and issues appropriately investigated. A Senior Associate will likely be the lead for at least one client, being first point of contact and owning the day-to-day relationship in PO.Ensure client transaction processing is complete, corporate actions have been booked correctly & security pricing is accurate.Review pricing of portfolios, confirming securities such as equities, options, futures, bonds & OTC derivatives are priced correctly. Gather security prices from vendors such as Bloomberg & ICE when necessary.Operate and oversee reconciliation technology to deliver Investment Manager positions and profit & loss reconciliations.Perform GAV reviewsLiaise with custodians, brokers and other counterparties on an ongoing basis for break resolutions and process improvements.Provide great client service to all our clients be they internal or external.Respond to queries from clients in a timely and efficient manner.
