We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Collection Assistant to join our team. As a Collection Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our collections department and ensuring the efficient management of debt collection activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the collections workflow
- Perform data entry and update records in DebtMaster
- Generate reports and spreadsheets using Word and Excel
- Manage email correspondence and calendar using Outlook
- Provide administrative support to the collections team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a collections or administrative role (entry-level candidates will be considered)
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Accurate and efficient typing and data entry skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DebtMaster or similar collections software
- Knowledge of collections laws and regulations
