I am seeking a man or a woman to care for my 92 year old father in his home in Maine.
My father lives in a four bedroom house that is on the edge of the ocean in Friendship, Maine. You will have your own bedroom, TV, Internet and bathroom.
My father is 92 years old and has no memory or dementia issues. His mind is very sharp, he enjoys playing cribbage, card games and talking with visitors. My father was a math teacher and middle school principal when he was working. He is six feet tall and weighs 260 pounds. Sadly, my father is incontinent and wears adult diapers. Further, he has neuropathy in his legs that has left him traveling in a wheelchair. He has a great attitude and is a very nice person. His prior caregiver stayed with him for two years. She has left her employment with him to start her nursing college program.
The idea candidate has home health care experience taking care of older people, speaks English and has a driver’s license. You will be expected to cook meals for both you and my father, help him go to the bathroom, shower him, help dress him and help him move from his wheelchair to the bed & toilet.
You will live on the ocean in Friendship, Maine and you will be given a free bedroom, free food, free car and $800 per week. We will also pay the cost to transport you to Maine from Puerto Rico.
