Job Description

The Commercial Territory Sales Manager is responsible for growing, managing and executing a customer’s business plan using the provided tools, methods, and processes in order to achieve maximum customer satisfaction, sales and profitability.

Essential Functions:
Drive share of account and share of market within assigned territory
Responsible for working with Collections Admin to ensure assigned customers are paying in a timely manner and any disputes are quickly and satisfactorily resolved
Develop and successfully execute a personal sales plan to retain current and obtain new commercial tire account business
Develop and implement customer business plans to aid the Store in exceeding its annual sales goals
Manage and execute customer account analysis, prepare and present customer proposals/quotes, provide additional reporting requirements or respond to special customer projects
Perform fleet inspections at customer sites and make recommendations for services to meet customer needs and objectives
Track and document regular updates on daily work and customer activity in Telenotes according to Monro’s policy and procedures
Responsible for fully understanding the industry, Monro’s offerings, competitive developments, and effectively convey Monro’s value proposition vs. competitors to current and potential customers
Performs other duties as assigned

Management Responsibility:
The Commercial Territory Sales Manager is an individual contributor to the team and operates under the general direction of the Commercial Store Manager

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 3 years business to business sales experience, or a minimum of 3 years Retail Tire Store customer service experience; commercial tire industry sales experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to project a positive image of the company to customers, and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of internal and external customers
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple priorities to meet established deadlines and goals
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision, as well as effectively contribute within a team environment
Strong sales orientation and customer focus
Results oriented to meet or achieve sales goals
Basic computer skills
Strong presentation and negotiation skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This job operates in an automotive shop environment with visits to customer sites. The job will have exposure to a moderate noise level, adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt and dust.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners and fax machines.
Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
Ability to work flexible hours, days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Must be able to lift, carry and move merchandise up to 100 lbs. without assistance
Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time
Frequent squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling while performing fleet inspections
Frequent travel required
