As a Scheduler (Field Service)with Kelly Services, you will be responsible for front end loaded schedules as well as completed ready to execute resource loaded schedules that optimize the maintenance work plans, capital work plans and other work activities. You will maintain in-depth knowledge of scheduling software and upgrades to the software. Provide continuous liaison duties with Project Managers and Project Management must be maintained to assure optimum utilization of information and manpower in order to satisfy project completion date and obtain project status.Responsibilities
Provide all necessary schedules to ensure the development of proper estimates and cost forecasts within a project stage
Coordinate and develop appropriate internal and external schedule benchmarks and technical limits
Write procedures and instructions for preparation and maintenance of project plans and schedules
Identify all activities on the project and develop logic using precedence diagram method (PDM).
Prepare procedures for project control reporting including risk assessment and earned value.
Maintain the integrated schedule reflecting the relationship and interdependencies of the engineering, procurement and construction functions.
Reviewing schedule, progress and productivity of contractors, monitor and verify monthly earned value. Ensuring that everything is on time, so the deadlines of the project can be met
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field such as Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management and 3 years’ experience; or an Associate Degree in a related technical field and 6 years’ experience; or high school diploma and 10 years utility field experience.
Construction Management will be accepted if they have at least 5 years of maintenance work scheduling or construction project scheduling experience or other relevant project controls experience.
Proficient with MS Office Tools and MS SharePoint. Stay current on technology enhancements and procedures and make suggestions for change
Ability to read and interpret one-line station diagrams and transmission line switching diagrams.
Aptitude to understand switching, tagging and clearance points.
Demonstrate knowledge of zones of protection.
Ability to estimate resource requirements for typical projects (construction and maintenance).
Must possess the ability to communicate effectively.
Good organizational skills.
