Worship Leader Job Description
Purpose:
South Lawn Baptist Church, 4306 S. Washington St., Amarillo, TX 79110 is seeking to fill a part-time position responsible for leading and growing a blended worship ministry.
Qualifications:
●Must be a born-again Christian
●Must accept SLBC’s statement of faith
●Must have experience in leading a blended worship of both Hymns
and Contemporary
●Must be able to lead worship and work with worship team.
●If you play the guitar or piano that is an added benefit
Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership, vision, and passion in the area of worship.
2. Take the lead in creating and implementing worship and participation of membership, and practicing with the worship team.
3. Coordinate and consult with the Pastor to create a well-planned and engaging Sunday worship service.
4. Work with pastor and finance committee to develop a reasonable budget for the worship ministry.
5. Conduct yourself in a manner that is worthy of your calling.
Salary:
Will be commensurate with individual’s skills and experience, and relevant hours required. Job requires about 5-6 hours per week for Sunday morning, Sunday night, and special events.
