Entry Level Staff Accountant for Restaurants
Austin based restaurant group is looking for an entry level accountant to join our corporate team!
Job tasks and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
checkbook data entry
run weekly or biweekly (as needed) accounts payable batches and work with vendors to reconcile accounts
process payrolls and payroll taxes
compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
book GL entries
ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
review and post fixed asset transactions
reconcile cash to supporting documentation
ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
ensure transactions and financial reports conform with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and follow prescribed internal control procedures
Education and Experience:
knowledge of accounting software, preferably Microsoft Dynamics, and MS Excel
degree in accounting (or related field) preferred
