WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Vice-President of Finance and Accounting is responsible to the organization’s presentation for all long-range financial matters and to establish company-wide financial and accounting objectives, policies, programs, and practices, which insure the company of a continuously sound financial structure.
WHAT WILL THE JOB BE
Responsible for the production of accurate and timely financial statements that are presented to the President and Executive Vice President
Oversees the Credit Manager in the granting of credit and the collection of accounts due the company, including supervision of required special arrangements for financing sales, such as time payments and leasing plans.
Maintains relationships with financial institutions in conjunction with the President and Executive Vice President.
Oversees the preparation of information to be provided to outside accountants for corporate income tax returns
Responsible for the coordination of annual sales budget process and compilation of budgets; working closely with the VP of Sales and Marketing and the VP of Branches
Ensures the maintenance of appropriate financial records and preparation of required financial reports.
Provides advice on matters to the President and Executive Vice President and assists them and the Executive team in the formulation of overall corporate objectives.
Development of accounting system controls to ensure data integrity
Point person for troubleshooting accounting system issues
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Knowledge of operations and management.
Basic skills required to effectively manage personnel.
Knowledge of intermediate to advanced computer skills.
Ability to manage multiple functions at one time.
Ability to accurately perform in depth mathematical calculations and prepare reports.
Ability to hold strict confidence of the financial information.
Ability to maintain attention to detailed information.
Ability to effectively communicate and understand detailed and/or technical information.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
CPA or MBA is required.
At least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check.
