We are looking for an amazing person to join our team - we have an Infant Support Guide position available in our Nido (2 months to 18 months) classroom. This position works directly with a certified Lead Guide and is an excellent opportunity to join an authentic Montessori school that values community, respect, and creativity. Many of our Support Guides have gone on to acquire their Montessori certifications to become Lead Guides as well.
Positions are year round and our schedule closely mirrors AISDs school year calendar. We have a summer program that runs for 8 weeks in June and July. Our hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (no nights or weekends). Occasionally we have events, training, or meetings outside of those hours. The hours for this position are 10:00am-6:00 p.m.
Our ideal candidate will be nurturing, honest, and hard working (of course). While we prefer you to have Montessori experience, it is not required. However, a willingness to learn and adopt the philosophy in practice is required - it's a beautiful thing and we know this won't be a concern. We will have good opportunities for exciting growth in the near future. And we are kind of an awesome place to work for where you will be a valued member of our team.
Experience in a Montessori classroom environment is preferred, but not required. Childcare experience is required. We provide opportunities for paid training throughout the year to meet the requirements imposed by Texas DPFS. In addition, we provide Montessori specific workshops or speakers throughout the year for enrichment.
