Wanna Play has been pioneering flexible child care with a unique play-based program in Austin since 2008. Our centers are designed with children 6 wks - 12 yrs in mind and offer child led, open ended play and as well as teacher guided activities. We believe children learn through play and have provided an assortment of loose parts and stimulating toys to allow them to be creative and collaborate.

Our objective is to make the lives of families with young children easier to manage by offering drop-in child care, flexible preschool, after school programs and camps. Parents can enjoy the convenience without compromising quality.

We are seeking an experienced receptionist to support our busy front desk, provide administrative support to our management team, and assist on occasion with supervision of a group of children.

This position is a very visible one being the first voice or face our clients interact with. We are an expanding brand through franchising and as the system grows, we will have opportunities for you to grow with us. Our Austin location serves as our flagship location for training.

Responsibilities include answering calls, greeting clients, assisting parents with check-in and out, providing tours, billing, enrollments, general filing, event planning, and assisting with training. This position provides support to our caregiving staff as needed including stepping in to supervise a group of children to help cover breaks or when ratios require. Our Receptionist is a key hold and opens with one of our leads.

All staff must meet licensing background check requirements.

Candidates with the following qualifications will be considered:

- 2+ yrs experience in administrative support/office administration, startup experience preferred

- Outgoing personality with strong communication skills ~ both written and verbal

- Strong computer skills, including GMail, Google Docs, Microsoft OfficePrior cash handling/billing experience

- Competent in guiding and engaging with children of all ages

- Able to follow company policies and state licensing guidelines

- Capable of lifting 40 lbs.

- Must obtain CPR/First Aid

Schedule hours are between 7:30 am and 5 pm Mon-Friday (30 minute break) with required availability on a Saturday as needed. (We are considering opening hours weekdays of 6:30 or 7 am starting in the summer, so schedule would adjust accordingly.)
