Established real estate developer and homebuilder seeks focused, detail-oriented construction estimator or Project/Construction Manager. This position works primarily in the coordination of estimating, purchasing, and contracting for the firms real estate development and construction projects. Willing to consider contract / part time / full time role. Primarily you will be in charge of a forthcoming $3mm project in 78704.
Takeoffs > prelim budget > value engineering with architect > final budget > BUILD.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1 - Develop accurate takeoffs
2 - Coordinate preparation of specifications & finish schedules
3 - Cost Estimating with Co-Construct / UDA / Buildertrend or similar builder software
4 - Product Research & Vendor correspondence - obtaining specifications, samples, etc.
5 - Bidding, placement & coordination of purchase orders with Vendors
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
1 - Extremely well organized, detail oriented personality
2 - Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel, Mac OS; Strong Typing Skills;
3 - Bachelors degree at minimum
4 - Minimum 10 years pertinent work experience Construction
5 - Minimum 2 years experience as Construction Manager or Project Manager
6 - Must understand basic financial concepts and work with Excel (for budgeting)
7 - Experience with Co-Construct / UDA / Buildertrend or similar builder software suite
8 - Spanish Fluency is preferred but not required. We are a bilingual company
