Amazon Fashion Tech has been driving multiple experiences and technologies which are nothing short of disruptive within the domain and is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer(BIE) who can improve Fashion Tech Program performance and analytics across such a complex and rapidly changing problem space and.The optimal candidate is able to use business intelligence tools and partner with the business to identify strategic opportunities where data-backed insights drive value creation. An effective communicator, the candidate is able to translate analysis result into actionable business terms. The candidate works with internal and external teams to push the projects across the finishing line. The candidate is a self-starter, comfortable with providing structure to ambiguity, and enjoys working in a fast-paced and global team.Key job responsibilitiesYou will work on our Fashion Intelligence to answer complex problems via data analysis. Outputs from your analysis will directly help improve the performance of various Fashion Tech programs and understand the impacts of our programs as a whole.Use analytical and statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive business decisions that will help us achieve our strategic goals.You can effectively communicate with cross-functional team members to understand key questions and earn the trust of your stakeholders.You are able to multi-task and handle prioritization requirements between them, integrate multiple disparate datasets to support business intelligence needs, and present insights to stakeholders.You thrive in an agile and fast-paced environment that supports highly visible projects and initiatives. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen and communication skills as well as an ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.A day in the lifeThe BIE role is one that requires the ability to work across the many tech and non tech roles including brainstorming with product owners on how best to represent their data, working with DE to investigate/build robust data pipelines, aligning with SDE on what/how data is being created etc.For this reason day-to-day activities will change based on needs, but will require comfortability in receiving a variety of problem statements, identifying the correct toolset for each job, and then executing the solution that was planned.About the teamThe Fashion Tech organization has a mission to make Amazon the most-loved fashion destination globally through technology by building novel experiences for Amazon store. We improve the speed, accuracy, and standards of data driven decisions across all programs within Fashion Tech. Being specialists in the data lineage, we own building the right data infrastructure layer to enable reporting and analytics, partner with product teams in defining metrics, software engineering teams in instrumenting the appropriate data needed and data engineering in scaling our data warehouse. As a central analytics team, our goal is to break silos and identify interconnectedness across Fashion Tech programs, keeping the customer at the center.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Austin, TX, USA | Los Angeles, CA, USA | New York, NY, USA | Seattle, WA, USABasic Qualifications
2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree
Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis

The base pay for this position ranges from $65,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,600/year in our highest geographic market.
