Responsibilities
Perform grooming services including bathing, cutting, and styling fur for various breeds of dogs.
Ensure the safety and comfort of dogs during grooming sessions through proper handling techniques.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with dog owners about their dog's grooming needs and any concerns observed during the grooming process.
Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to ensure a safe environment for dogs.
Handle dogs with care, utilizing skills in animal restraint when necessary to ensure safety for both the groomer and the dog.
Stay updated on grooming trends and techniques to provide clients with the best services possible.
Experience
4+ years’ experience in pet grooming is required.
Familiarity with animal restraint techniques is beneficial for managing pets during grooming sessions as well as positive reinforcement methods.
Experience in customer service is essential to create a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger breeds or equipment is necessary.
Must be comfortable working solo and with large dogs.
