Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, and speaks Spanish. Open Dental Software proficient but not required. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and infection control.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Utilize Eaglesoft and Dentrix software for patient documentation and record management.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs.
Stay updated on dental terminology, take xrays, medical coding, and advancements in dental hygiene practices.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and familiarity with EMR systems.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, and dental office operations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
Previous experience in a dental clinic or office setting is highly desirable.
