Private practice in the southwest area of Austin, Texas has an opening for a front office position!

Compensation:

Pay is based on experience and open to discussion

Job Duties and Requirements:

Provide excellent customer service

Greeting, checking in and checking out patients

Schedule appointments for doctor and hygienist

Complete opening and end-of-day procedures in accordance with office directives and policies

Monitor and maintain the schedule for smooth patient flow

Complete all appointment confirmations and adjust the schedule accordingly

Ensure all patient paperwork is complete and correct

Verify all new and returning patient information is documented properly and up to date

Answer all incoming calls and handle all inquiries and needs

Maintain office environment and uphold the office's quality standards

Confirm insurance coverage via phone call and online verification

Data entry for proper billing of patients and their insurance companies

Understanding of HIPAA compliance and best practices

Assist patients with understanding and accepting their clinical diagnosis

Calculate fees for dental treatment

Coordinate financial agreements for the patient's financial responsibility of dental treatment

Responding to patient billing or financial inquiries, directing to appropriate departments, as necessary.

Assist with other office duties as requested or needed

Qualifications

1-3 Years' prior medical/dental front office experience required

Our office is primarily paperless so must have strong computer skills for creating, storing and retrieval of electronic records, documents and images with ability to learn new software

Highly effective verbal and communication skills

Professionalism in all aspects of job

Ability to present treatment plans and talk money with patients

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Experience with Curve a plus

Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Education & Background Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent

Familiarity with dental terminology

Registered Dental Assistant experience a plus
