North Austin Pediatrics is seeking Medical Assistants to join our Cedar Park office. We have been passionate about serving the Austin area with offices added in Cedar Park and Leander.The ideal candidate will work in a clinical environment assisting providers in treating patients in the clinic. They will serve as the first line of patient support in preparation of the patient's visit with the Provider, whether ill or well.Core Duties:Monitor patient flow from arrival through rooming patients and checking vitalsAssisting providers in a clinical setting by performing lab swabs and administering vaccinations and other proceduresPerform routine laboratory work in the officeClean and prepare exam rooms for the next patient by sterilizing instruments and restocking exam room suppliesCalling patients with routine lab resultsComplete lab requisitions and prepare specimens for testingReview laboratory reports in charts after physician reviewsAdditional administrative duties related to patient careSoft Skills:Ability to employ tact, diplomacy, and compassion in addressing issues and patient needs is requiredExcellent communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal -are requiredAbility to relate to childrenMust possess excellent time management skillsWell Organized and punctualHours:Full TimeMonday thru Friday shifts from 7:30am -5:15pm, with one Saturday morning per 4-6 weeks from 7:40am-12:00 pm.Benefits:Health, dental, vision insuranceShort term disability insurance401k after 6 months employmentPaid benefit timeThis job ad is intended to describe the general requirements for the position. Our Medical Assistant candidates must be organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and run a provider on their own and must have the ability to relate to children. The shift availability for this role is Monday thru Friday shifts from 7:30am -5:15pm, with one Saturday morning per 4-6 weeks from 7:40am-12:00 pm.
