We are looking to fill 4 positions located in Austin.
Starting pay of $20-$25 (STARTING WAGE IS BASED STRICTLY ON EXPERIENCE) with benefits, 401K and PTO available.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
To be responsible, under the direction of the Apartment Manager or Supervisor, for the overall maintenance of the physical property, and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance of the community. Essential duties & responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1) Perform light maintenance on all appliances.
2) Perform basic electrical repairs, plumbing work, drywall repairs and carpentry work.
3) Perform custodial work to include some grounds work.
4) Make readies of apartments prior to resident occupancy.
5) Keep accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, work orders, and inventories.
6) Assist with annual inspections, perform periodic exterior inspections.
7) Basic HVAC, trouble shooting, filter changes, etc.
7) Participate in emergency stand-by schedule for evening, weekend & holiday coverage.
Education:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
1) High school education or equivalent.
2) Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Training in some or all of the areas:
1) Carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, refurbishing, cleaning, a/c, & appliance repair preferred but not required.
2) Ability to read & interpret documents, basic math ability & reasoning ability. Pre-employment drug testing and background check required.
3) Have reliable transportation and valid auto insurance
