We are seeking an experienced Doors, Frames & Hardware Foreman to lead installation crews and manage day-to-day jobsite operations. This position requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of doors, frames, and hardware, and the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, project managers, and inspectors. The foreman will be responsible for maintaining productivity, quality, and safety while ensuring projects stay on schedule.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2-5+ years of experience in commercial doors, frames, and hardware installation or general on-site management
- Proven foreman or lead installer experience (references will be needed)
- Strong or mild knowledge of:
- Hollow metal and wood doors & frames
- Architectural hardware (locks, closers, panic devices, hinges, electrified hardware, etc.)
- Reading blueprints and hardware schedules
- Ability to run a crew efficiently and keep jobs on schedule
- Excellent communication skills with contractors, inspectors, and internal staff
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Familiarity with jobsite safety standards (OSHA knowledge preferred)
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in active construction environments
- Have basic tools
- Valid US identification
- Reliable transportation
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Pass background check
- Pass drug test
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise DFH installation crews on commercial job sites
- Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members
- Coordinate with general contractors, superintendents, and other trades
- Interpret plans, specifications, schedules, and hardware sets
- Ensure proper installation of doors, frames, hardware, and related components
- Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Track progress, manpower, and material needs
- Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, or discrepancies
- Train and mentor crew members to improve performance and efficiency
- Report job progress and issues to project management
